Educated at the Universities of Dublin and Edinburgh. He practised at Falcaragh, Letterkenny, Co Donegal, being at the time of his death a JP for the county, Admiralty Surgeon and Agent, and a Corresponding Member of the Dublin Natural History Society. He died at Falcaragh on March 15th, 1877.
