Christopher Michael Vickery was a consultant general surgeon in west Cornwall. He studied medicine at St Bartholomew's Medical School and qualified in 1953. He gained his FRCS in 1959.
Prior to his consultant appointment, he was a registrar on the professorial unit at St Bartholomew's Hospital and a senior registrar in surgery at the United Bristol Hospitals and visiting tutor at the University of Bristol. He was also a research fellow at Harvard Medical School and an assistant in surgery at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital.
He wrote papers on vascular surgical topics and was a member of the Vascular Surgical Society of Great Britain and Ireland.
Christopher Michael Vickery died on 20 December 2003.
