Details:
John Leach Wakelin trained at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, where he became senior registrar in the ENT department. In 1944 he is recorded as serving in the RAMC as a lieutenant. In the 1971 *Medical Directory*, he is listed as being an honorary consultant ENT surgeon to the Bulawayo Government Hospitals in Rhodesia and this is given as his address until he moved to Andorra in the early 1980s.
He died in Andorra on 29 November 2005, survived by his daughter.
