Details:
Julian Charles Francis Townsend was a consultant surgeon at St Albans City Hospital, Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, Welwyn Garden City, and Hill End Hospital. He studied at Pembroke College, Cambridge. He held house posts at St George's Hospital, London, and was then a registrar at the United Cardiff Hospitals, and a resident surgical officer at St Mark's Hospital, London.
From 1957 he held a short service commission in the medical branch of the RAF.
He died on 29 November 2010.
