Studied in Dublin, Edinburgh, and London. He was at first Assistant to the Professor of Anatomy in the University of Dublin, then Surgeon to the Bristol Royal Infirmary and Lecturer on Surgery. He died at 7 Berkeley Square, Bristol, on October 31st, 1878.
