Details:
Educated at Guy's Hospital, where he was at various times Prosector of Anatomy, Assistant Demonstrator of Physiology, Clinical Assistant in Medicine, Surgery, and Out-patient Departments, Resident Dresser, Ophthalmic Surgeon-Assistant, Assistant House Surgeon (1890), and Senior House Surgeon (1891). He was next Registrar of the Chelsea Hospital for Women. In 1895 he was appointed Demonstrator of Anatomy, Teacher of Operative Surgery, and Lecturer on Ophthalmology at His Highness the Nizam's Medical School at Hyderabad, Deccan. On returning to England in 1896 he settled in practice at 46 Weymouth Street, Portland Place, W, and at the time of his early death was Surgeon to the Westminster General Dispensary and Medical Referee under the Workmen's Compensation Act. He was at one time a fine football player, and represented Wales in several international matches in 1884 and 1889. He contracted pneumonia when on a visit, and died at his father's residence, the Knoll, Newport, Mon, on July 14th, 1902. He was unmarried.
