Practised as a surgeon at Halifax. From 1825-1847 he was Senior Surgeon to the Halifax General Infirmary, and at the time of his death he was also Curator of Zoology to the Halifax Literary and Philosophical Society and one of the Council of the Provincial Medical and Surgical Association. He died on December 18th, 1847.
