Details:
Studied in Dublin, and entered the Navy as a Surgeon in October, 1856. He was promoted Staff Surgeon in March, 1867, and served on HMS *Orontes* off South Africa during the Zulu War, 1877-1879, for which he received the Medal. He retired as Fleet Surgeon in June, 1881, and died at 6 Westbourne Park Road, London, W, on November 1st, 1894.
