Details:
Channarayapatna Ramachandra was an otolaryngologist at North Tyneside General Hospital. He qualified MB BS from Mysore University in India in 1959. He gained his fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1967 and his diploma in otolaryngology in 1973.
Prior to his consultant appointment he was a senior registrar in otolaryngology in the west Midlands, a registrar at Singleton Hospital, Swansea, and a surgical registrar at Moorgate General Hospital, Rotherham.
He died on 31 May 2012.
