Educated at Guy's Hospital and in Paris. He practised at 9 Friar Gate, Derby, where he was Physician to the Derbyshire General Infirmary, and then Consulting Physician; Surgeon, Physician, and Consulting Physician to the Derby Provident Dispensary; he was subsequently a Justice of the Peace for the Borough of Derby, and Medical Referee to the Northern Life Association and to other Assurance Companies. He removed latterly to Rock House, Cintra Park, Upper Norwood, SE, where he died on November 7th, 1888.
