Details:
Educated at Edinburgh University, St Bartholomew's, the London and the Middlesex Hospitals, he was house surgeon at Burton-on-Trent Infirmary. Ussher emigrated to Timaru, New Zealand, where he practised at 48 Sefton Street and became senior surgeon to the Hospital. He died there on 14 February 1964 aged about 80, and was survived by his son.
