Paul Rosswick was a consultant surgeon at St George's Hospital, London. He was born in London on 1 June 1932, the son of John Rosswick, an advertising director, and Phoebe Rosswick née Fagin, a housewife. He attended Malvern College from 1945 to 1950 and then studied medicine at London Hospital Medical School. He qualified in 1955. Between 1962 and 1963 he was a Robertson exchange fellow in surgery at Presbyterian-St Luke's Hospital, Chicago. He gained an MS from the University of Illinois in 1963. From 1966 to 1970 he was a first assistant in surgery at St George's. In 1970 he was appointed as a consultant surgeon at St George's Hospital, London, and as an honorary senior lecturer in surgery at St George's Hospital Medical School. He was also a consultant surgeon at the Royal Masonic Hospital. He had a particular interest in thyroid surgery, especially thyroid cancer, treated over 1,200 cases and published papers on the subject. From 1990 to 1991 he was president of the Medical Society of London. In 1962 he married Elizabeth. They had a son, Jonathan, and a daughter, Sarah. Paul Rosswick died on 1 November 2014. He was 82.
