Little is known about John Melville Ford beyond that his first degree was the BSc of Edinburgh University which he gained in 1963 with honours in physiology and that he qualified MB ChB in 1966. He appears to have practised in Brighton and from 1981 to 1984 his name appears in the *Medical Directory* with his address given as Royal Alexandra Hospital, Rhyl. His name does not appear in the *Medical Directory* in other years.
