Details:
Douglas Mackenzie qualified MB BS at Sydney University in 1952 and held house posts at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, before obtaining a registrarship at the Southend General Hospital, Sydney. He subsequently came to Britain and gained the Fellowship in 1957. Returning to Australia, he was a lecturer in the Department of Surgery at Sydney University from 1958 to 1965. Thereafter he practised in Sydney, at Paddington NSW and Windsor NSW. His death was reported to the College as having occurred in April or May 1995.
