Like his brother MG and his cousin AK, Rangnath Gajanar was a member of the Talwalkar family of medical practitioners who obtained the Fellowship of the College in the 1930s. On returning to Bombay RG worked at the GT Hospital. All qualified from Grant Medical College, as did many other members of the family over the last hundred years. In recent years two more of the family became Fellows of the College, the fourth generation of Talwalkar doctors. R G Talwalkar died in 1992.
