Ashok Balkrishna Mathure was a surgeon based in Mumbai, India. He was born on 22 April 1941 and studied medicine in Mumbai. He gained the fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1974.
He was married to Nandini. They had a daughter, Mekhala, and a grandson, Yash. He died on 23 February 2013 at the age of 71.
