Another Henry Coates seems to have been entered as six-months’ pupil to Benjamin Brodie at St George’s in August, 1830, and to have become MRCS in 1833 and LSA in 1834. Mr R R James, FRCS, Dean of St George’s, believes this Henry Coates to have been FRCS, 1844.
