Details
The son of Robert Martin Craven (the first), surgeon of Hull. He was elected Surgeon to the Hull General (now the Hull Royal) Infirmary and was Chamberlain of Hull in 1832. He lectured on surgery at the Hull School of Medicine and Anatomy; carried on a practice with his father, whom he predeceased, and died on January 24th, 1850. He left four children, one of whom, Robert Martin Craven (qv), succeeded him as surgeon to the Hull General Hospital.
