Details
Alexander Dawson was an orthopaedic surgeon who devoted much of his professional life to being one of the pioneers and exponents of modern hip replacement surgery. He was consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Welwyn Garden City. He died on 2 February 2007 aged 91, survived by his wife of 65 years, Marjory Allan, son, Sandy and two grandchildren, Claire and Frances.
