Details
George Emile Rousseaux was a consultant surgeon at Warrnambool Hospital, Victoria, Australia. He was born on 26 August 1926. He graduated in medicine from Oxford University in 1950 and passed his FRCS in 1958. During his time at Oxford he was resident medical officer at the Radcliffe Infirmary from 1950 to 1952; registrar at the Radcliffe from 1954 to 1955; RMO at the Nuffield Plastic Unit 1955-56 and registrar again at the Radcliffe from 1956 to 1958. Also in 1958 he worked as registrar at the Sheffield Royal Infirmary. Moving to Australia later in 1958, he took up the post of consultant at Warrnambool Hospital, Warrnambool and staff Specialist at Geelong Hospital, Geelong. He was a member of the Australian Medical Association, the Otolaryngological Society of Australia, and the Australian College of Allergists. He died on 27 November 1993 in Victoria, Australia, aged 67, and was survived by his wife, Francesa Mary and his children, Colin, Philip, Felicity and Alison.
