Details
Educated at Leeds and Charing Cross Hospital. He was at one time Surgeon to the Cancer Hospital, and afterwards practised at New Barnet, Herts, where he was Medical Officer of Health of the East Barnet Valley District Council, District Medical Officer and Public Vaccinator of the Barnet Union, Medical Officer to the Post Office and to the Victoria Cottage Hospital, Barnet. He was also a Medical Referee under the Workmen's Compensation Act and a Certifying Factory Surgeon. He died at New Barnet on November 30th, 1928. Publication: With Dr PERCY WILDE, Elam edited the Section on Surgery in the *Medical Annual*, 8vo, Bristol, 1887.
