Details
Educated at St Bartholomew's Hospital and in Edinburgh. He was at first in general practice at Wardwick, Derbyshire, where he was Surgeon to the Derbyshire Infirmary and to the County and Borough Prisons in 1847. He practised in 1851 at 98 Friar Gate, Derby, and was then Senior Surgeon to the Infirmary, at the same time retaining his other posts. He removed to Brighton in or before 1860, and after his retirement resided at 135 Marine Parade. He died in or before 1890. His portrait is in the Fellows' Album. Publication: *The Signs, Disorders, and Management of Pregnancy: the Treatment to be adopted during and after Confinement, and the Management and Disorders of Children*. Written expressly for the use of females. 8vo, Derby, 1834.
