Details
Was gazetted Assistant Surgeon in the 3rd Fusilier Guards on Feb 20th, 1806, and rose to Battalion Surgeon - a title in the Foot Guards dating from 1805 - on December 25th, 1813. He was present at the Battle of Waterloo. He became Surgeon Major on February 24th, 1837, was retired on half pay on July 25th, 1845, and was appointed Surgeon in Ordinary to the Prince Consort. He died at his house in the London Road, Worcester, on January 22nd, 1850.
