Details
Studied at Guy's, St Thomas's, and King's College Hospitals. He practised at Redruth, Cornwall, living at Trengweath Place and at Clarence Cottage, Porthtowan, Illogan. He was Surgeon to the Mines; Medical Officer to the Redruth Union Workhouse; Medical Officer to Gwennap and Stithians Districts; Public Vaccinator; Medical Assurance Referee; Certifying Factory Surgeon; and Medical Inspector of Army Recruits. As Surgeon to the Mines he presented a report to the Houses of Parliament on the "Sanitary State of Redruth". He was a member of the General Council of St Andrews University. After long confinement to his room, he died on December 21st, 1895, being then the oldest practitioner in Cornwall.
