Studied at St George's Hospital and at the University of Edinburgh. He was at first Physician to the Farringdon Dispensary, and Lecturer on Midwifery at the Charlotte Street School of Medicine. He next practised at Bath, then at Frome, Somersetshire, where he was a JP for the County. He died at Portland Place, Bath, on December 22nd, 1864.
