Details
Born at Pointon, Staffordshire, in March, 1803; studied at the Windmill Street School of Medicine and at Middlesex Hospital. Having qualified, he was the first House Surgeon of the General Dispensary, Lincoln, for two years. He afterwards practised successfully in Lincoln and the neighbourhood for nearly forty years. He was also for many years a member of the Lincoln Corporation and three times Mayor. During his last tenure he received a handsome testimonial, his portrait and a service of plate. He died in retirement at St Mark's Terrace, Lincoln, on July 16th, 1882.
