Details
James Gordon Kendall was an orthopaedic surgeon who became medical director of Derwen College for the Disabled in Oswestry, Shropshire. He qualified in medicine from Birmingham University and passed the conjoint examination of the college the same year. An early appointment was as senior registrar to the Prince of Wales Orthopaedic Hospital in Cardiff before he moved to Cornwall as consultant orthopaedic surgeon. In the RAMC he served as a major and orthopaedic specialist. He died suddenly on 15 January 2012 aged 91 years, survived by his family, Joan, David, Michael and Libby.
