Details
Born on April 9th, 1859, the youngest son of Henry Lambard Hudson, Harleston, Norfolk. He studied at University College Hospital, and entered the Bengal Indian Medical Service as Surgeon on April 1st, 1886. He was gazetted Surgeon Major on April 1st, 1898, Lieutenant-Colonel on April 1st, 1906, and placed on the selected list on April 7th, 1911. He served on the North-East Frontier China Lushai Campaign (1889-1890), was mentioned in dispatches (GCO No 677) in 1890, and awarded the Medal with a Clasp. He also served in the Chitral Campaign, being present at the action of the Malakand Pass and the relief of Chitral, receiving the Medal with Clasp. In the intervals he served in the Gaol Department of the United Provinces and was Superintendent of the Naini Central Prison, Allahabad, where he died on October 14th, 1916.
