Details
Was a Fellow Commoner at Downing College, Cambridge, and took his BA degree in 1885 with the name of Robert Nicholls. He studied at Guy's Hospital and practised at Pennfield Lodge, Melbourne, Derbyshire. Moving to Pendleton, Manchester, he became Surgeon to St Mary's Hospital, Medical Officer to the Salford Workhouse and to the Pendleton and Broughton District of the Salford Union. He next moved to 21 Regent Street, Cambridge, graduated MA, was appointed University Lecturer in Midwifery, and became Medical Officer to the Leys School. He retired to Bedford and died in 1904. Publications: Ingle published a series of papers on "The Required Alteration of Payments in Unregistered Sick Societies".
