Details
After practising at Newcastle-upon-Tyne was appointed Surgeon to the Colony of Hong Kong, and arrived there in November, 1847. He died from abscess of the liver on October 13th, 1854. In those few years his service had come to be highly valued by the Local Government. He lived esteemed and died regretted by all who knew him. Sisters of Charity and priests attended his funeral.
