Details
Educated at St Thomas's Hospital, where he was House Surgeon, House Physician, Resident Accoucheur, and Surgical Registrar, having whilst a student gained the Cheselden Medal and the Grainger Prize. He also studied in Paris, and for thirty-seven years from 1880 he was Medical Superintendent of the Kensington Infirmary, until his death from septicaemia, following infection of his hand at an operation, on April 9th, 1917. Publications: Potter published a number of medical papers, and was also author of *The Natural History of the Voyage of the 'Sunbeam', RYS*, 1875-6. The 'Voyage' itself was written by Lady Brassey.
