Details
The second son of Thomas Savage (qv). He was born in Birmingham in December, 1869, and after being educated at Birmingham School, matriculated from Christ Church at the University of Oxford on October 14th, 1884, graduated BA in 1890 and acted for a short time as Demonstrator of Anatomy in the University. He then entered the London Hospital, where he became House Physician and Receiving Room Officer. He practised in Birmingham, and at the time of his death was Surgeon to In-patients at the Maternity Hospital of Birmingham Lying-in Charity and Wolverhampton and District Hospital for Women, as well as Gynaecologist to the Birmingham Medical Mission and Smallwood Hospital, Redditch. He practised at 133 Edmund Street, Birmingham, and died at his residence, 80 Hagley Road, Edgbaston, on June 17th, 1924.
