Details
Born at Kyneton, Victoria; he went to school there, and then studied at the Melbourne University and Hospital. After serving as Resident Medical Officer, he engaged in post-graduate study at London and Edinburgh. Having become FRCS he returned to general practice in Kyneton, where he was Medical Officer of the Kyneton Hospital and Health Officer of a large district in which he gained general respect and affection. On August 26th, 1916, whilst on his way to Kyneton, his motor-car skidded at Gisborne and overturned. With one of his companions Rigby was pinned underneath, and when released was found to be dead.
