:
Studied at Guy's and St Thomas's Hospitals, and practised for many years at High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, where he was Medical Officer of No 1 District of the Wycombe Union, Surgeon Major in the Royal Bucks King's Own Militia, and Surgeon to the Great Western Railway Provident Society. Later he was appointed Surgeon to the Wycombe Cottage Hospital. He retired to Dalton, Bournemouth, and died on March 29th, 1890. William Rose, junr (qv), Surgeon to King's College Hospital, was his son.
