Details
The younger brother of James Rumsey (qv), to whom he dedicated his Bonn Doctorial Thesis, published in London in 1837 with the title, *De placenta disrupta*. The copy in the College Library was presented by the author as displaying a physiological process, the disposal of the dismembered placenta when retained *in utero*. He practised at Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, and then at Henley-on-Thames. He died on or before June 20th, 1847.
