Details
Studied at St Thomas's Hospital, in Paris and Brussels. At St Thomas's Hospital he was House Surgeon and Medical Registrar, and then acted as Demonstrator of Anatomy at Westminster Hospital. He also qualified as a barrister. He practised at 410 Brixton Road, and afterwards at 58 Streatham Hill, London, SW, where he directed his attention especially to the subject of angina pectoris, attacks of which, he sought to show, were induced by flatulent distension of the stomach, and for its relief he recommended passing a stomach tube by which the flatus might escape. He died at Oakfields, 58 Streatham Hill, on February 25th, 1924. Publications:- Verdon published a number of papers on the subject of angina pectoris in the *Lancet*, *Brit Med Jour*, and *Heart*.
