Details
Born on May 15th, 1780, was appointed Surgeon's Mate, unattached, in June, 1801, and was gazetted Assistant Surgeon to the 14th Dragoons on August 15th, 1805, promoted to Surgeon on October 24th, 1811, joined the Staff on November 5th, 1812, and retired on half pay on February 25th, 1817. His active service included the Peninsula (1808-1814) and the United States (1814). On retiring from the Army he started practice at Toronto, Canada, became one of the two principal practitioners, and died there in 1858.
