Details
The eldest son of the Rev Francis Smith, MA, MD Cantab, of Parkstone, Dorset. He received his professional training at University College, London, and the University of Durham, and, entering the Indian Medical Service, held important posts, having been Surgeon to the General Hospital, Madras, Superintendent of the Prince of Wales Medical School, Tanjore, and Surgeon Specialist to the Karachi Indian War Hospital. He died of heart failure, after his retirement, at his residence, 84 St. Albans Road, Watford, Herts, on August 7th, 1924.
