Details
Received his training at the University of Cambridge, where he had won a science scholarship, and at St Thomas's Hospital, where he was House Surgeon. At the University he graduated from Jesus College after gaining a 1st class in the Natural Science Tripos in 1892. He won his Blue for Rugby football and was also an excellent tennis player. After being Assistant Resident Medical Officer at Queen Charlotte's Maternity Hospital and Clinical Assistant to the Evelina Hospital for Sick Children, he settled in practice at Putney Hill. Subsequently his address was 16 St John's Road, where he built up a very large connection and won great popularity by his untiring devotion to his patients. He was latterly in partnership with Mr Edwin Francis White, FRCS. He died at his Putney residence on June 30th, 1926.
