Studied at the Newcastle-upon-Tyne and the Manchester Infirmaries, at Westminster Hospital, and at the Hunterian School. He practised at Mulberry House, Great Eccleston, Garstang, Lancashire, where he was District Medical Officer of the Garstang Union. He was a Fellow of the London Obstetrical Society and of the British Medical Association. He died in the latter half of 1891.
