Details
Born on February 13th, 1811, entered the IMS, Bombay Army, as Assistant Surgeon on January 13th, 1834, was promoted to Surgeon on May 20th, 1848, to Surgeon Major on Jan 18th, 1860, and retired on June 7th, 1861. He saw active service in Afghanistan during 1839-1841. In retirement he lived at 42 Inverleith Row, Edinburgh, and died on December 25th, 1887. Publication: *Notes on Places in the Persian Gulph*, 1839.
