Studied at the University of Edinburgh and in Paris; he then practised at Woodlands Cottage, Sandal, Wakefield, where he was Surgeon to the West Riding House of Correction and to the House of Refuge, also Certifying Factory Surgeon and Medical Officer to the Yorkshire District of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company. He died at the above address on May 9th, 1889.
