Details
Born 4 March 1886, son of Hag Bayumi Abo el Saud. He received his medical education at the London Hospital and took the English Conjoint qualification in 1915. After his return to Egypt he was appointed to the staff of the Kasr el Aini Hospital, Cairo, on 15 November 1919, and became director of the orthopaedic section of the hospital on 1 October 1928. On 7 April 1938 he was elected to the Fellowship of the College as a Member of twenty years' standing, in recognition of his orthopaedic work. Bayumi practised at 1 Midan Soliman Pasha, Cairo. He died on 21 March 1940. He was a staunch upholder of the Anglo-Egyptian connexion.
