Details
Educated at Guy's Hospital, and became well known as a Surgeon in Plymouth, practising at 4 Park Place, Stoke, Devonport. After his retirement he served as Justice of the Peace for Devonport. He died at Penlee Cottage, Stoke, on March 24th, 1883. His son, William Paul Swain (qv), followed his father as surgeon at Plymouth.
