Born 1859, he qualified as a Member of the College in 1881. The following year he graduated from Bellevue Hospital Medical College, New York, which later became a constituent of the New York University School of Medicine. He was again in England in 1885 when he took the Fellowship. His address at that period was Savannah, Georgia. Garmany practised for many years at 33 West 42nd Street, New York City, and died at his home, 21 East 90th Street, on 26 March 1947, of an acute heart-attack, aged 87.
