Details
Studied at University College Hospital and was for a time Physician's Assistant. He was also House Surgeon at the Manchester Royal Infirmary. He then practised for many years at Warrington, where he was Surgeon to the Warrington Infirmary, Physician to the Dispensary, Assistant Surgeon, and later Surgeon Major in the 4th Regiment of the Royal Lancaster Militia, and Surgeon to the Ladies' Charity. He gained one of the leading practices in Warrington and was well known also in Manchester. In September, 1897, he was attending a confinement when suddenly he fell forwards and died.
