Details
He was born in 1848, and received his medical education at St Thomas's Hospital. He then returned to Japan, entered the medical service of the Imperial Japanese Navy, and rose to be the director-general. He married and left a son, Professor Viscount S Saneyoshi, MD. He died on 1 March 1932 at 9 Toruzaka, Azabu, Tokyo, Japan. Publication: *The surgical history of the naval war between Japan and China during the years* 1894-95, translated from the original Japanese report under the direction of Baron Y Saneyoshi by S Suzuki. Tokyo, 1900.
