Details
Born in London 10 April 1878, the son of William Harrison Cripps FRCS. He was educated at Marlborough, Trinity College, Cambridge and St Bartholomew's Hospital where, after qualification, he held a house surgeon appointment. He never practised as a surgeon but was medical officer to the General Accident and Life Assurance Company and the London General Omnibus Company. During the war of 1914-18 he served as a surgeon in the Royal Navy. Late in life and after his retirement he adopted the surname Harrison Cripps. He died at his home Meath Green House, Horley on 13 December 1960 aged 82.
