Details
After qualification he acted as RMO and senior surgical clinical assistant at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne in 1942, and assistant to out-patient surgery at Prince Henry's Hospital. Joining the AIF he served for some time as a Captain in the RAAMC Reserve in New Guinea and Bougainville, and in 1946-47 acted again as RMO at the Alfred Hospital, where in 1946 he was appointed honorary surgeon to out-patients. From 1949 to 1951 he was surgeon at the Repatriation General Hospital at Heidelberg, Victoria. Coming to England to obtain his Fellowship, he worked as surgical registrar at St James's Hospital, Balham in 1952. Returning to Melbourne, he practiced at 342 Albert Street, East Melbourne and lived at 28 Murphy Street, South Yarra, where he died on 30 May 1963.
