Details
Educated at Caius College, Cambridge, and St Bartholomew's Hospital, where he was Brackenbury Surgical Scholar, demonstrator of anatomy and senior house surgeon. He was then appointed chief assistant to the surgical professorial unit. He took the Fellowship in 1927 and the Cambridge Mastership of Surgery in 1931. He practised as a consultant in London, first at Gordon Square and later at 20 Upper Wimpole Street. He was an Erasmus Wilson lecturer at the College in 1932 on "Functions and Pathology of the Great Omentum", and became a member of the Association of Industrial Medical Officers. He died in September 1953.
